Through intensive study of the Bible, they realize that the church should only consist of true believers, challenging the city council and state church with these biblical truths. Even though they are driven out, persecuted, imprisoned and executed, the stand.
These Anabaptists from Zurich help to rekindle the flame of Christ's church, standing at the beginning of a movement from which the Mennonite, Amish, Hutterite and Brethren Churches later emerge, and leaving a legacy that endures to this day.
